Shown to a packed house of hairdressers, ARROJO Underground ’17 tunneled to our TriBeCa space as 18 separate hairdressing teams presented their own irresistibly cool forecast for the future of fashion and beauty trends.

As part of our inclusive creative culture, everyone from brand new apprentices to seasoned master stylists was invited to, in teams or individually, show their own creations and inspirations in fast-paced presentations.

For the first time ever, the ARROJO Ambassador Program was represented on the Underground stage as Derek Maldonado (D.Anthony) and Danielle Hardy (CUT. ARTISAN. HAIR.) teamed up to highlight the unity and continuity between our Ambassadors, as well as their skills as modern creative hairdressers at the top of their craft.

“We created Underground fourteen years ago to give hairdressers complete creative freedom to display their own unique vision of cool hair and style in the contemporary fashion and beauty climate,” says Nick Arrojo during the event. “We are thrilled to bring in back for 2017. It’s where our new trends, techniques, and editorial collections will be forged. It’s a part of our inclusive culture of creative, inspirational hairdressing.”

The Underground Show gave all attendees lots of new trend ideas to consider. From modern punk rock looks to transgender styles to classically prettifying layers and highlights to terrifically wild textures, it was a night where the power of creative energy and collaboration came together to project a fearless future for the world of fashion and beauty.
